Our commitment

Tax Sale Atlas is built to be usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we treat accessibility as part of building the site, not an afterthought.

What we do

• Text and interactive elements are tested against WCAG AA color-contrast ratios in both light and dark themes.
• The site works with the keyboard alone, including a skip-to-content link, visible focus outlines, and menus that open before JavaScript loads.
• Pages use semantic headings, landmarks, and labels so screen readers can navigate them.
• Images and icons that are decorative are hidden from assistive technology; meaningful ones have text alternatives.
• The layout is responsive and reflows without horizontal scrolling down to small screens and high zoom.

Known limitations

Some third-party auction platforms and county government sites we link to are outside our control and may not meet the same standard. We flag where you are leaving our site for an official county resource.
