Affiliate Disclosure

Plain, up-front disclosure of how this site makes money, in line with the FTC guidelines.

Last updated July 4, 2026

Tax Sale Atlas is a free resource. To keep it free, some of the outbound links on this site may be affiliate links. (As of the date above, we have not yet activated any affiliate links, so every outbound link currently points to an official or informational source.) This page explains exactly what an affiliate link means when we do use one, in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and disclosures.

What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is a tracked link to a third-party product or service. If you click one and then sign up or buy, we may earn a commission. That commission comes from the company, not from you, and it does not change the price you pay.

How we decide what to link to

Our editorial content comes first. We describe tax sale processes based on official sources and the law, and that content is not influenced by whether a company has an affiliate program. When we recommend a paid tool, it is because we believe it is genuinely useful for the task at hand, and we say plainly that the link is a paid partnership. We do not accept payment to change the facts on a county or state page.

Where you will see affiliate links

When affiliate links are present, they appear in clearly labeled callout boxes, most often in the education guides, alongside a short disclosure. Every affiliate link uses the rel="sponsored nofollow" attribute so search engines understand the relationship. We do not run display advertising, and we never place affiliate links inside the sourced legal facts on county and state pages.

Our current partners

We may earn commissions from investor-focused tools and education services, including data and list providers and real-estate investing communities. Partners can change over time. Whenever a specific partner is featured, the callout names it and links here.
